The Avondale Children's Choir, made up of youth from Avondale and Decatur neighborhoods, has been invited by Distinguished Concerts International to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York on June 12, 2016.
This community choir is reaching out to the community for help. These kids have worked hard to earn the trip and experience of a lifetime. They earned the invitation, let's help pave the way. The money raised will be used to offset the singers' expenses. Chaperones and staff are paying their own way.
The goal of $25,000 is for airfare, hotel, meals, busing, and hopefully a New York site or two.
For the singers its a once in a lifetime experience. For the families it is exciting but can be a financial challenge.
Any help you can give... $1, $2...$25.. whatever is greatly appreciated.
Please come hear them sing sometime. Please help them sing at Carnegie Hall. We have payments to the travel coordinator due in February and final payments due in early April. Any consideration is appreciated. Thank you.
