Childrens Theater Workshop

Children’s Theater Workshop is asking for support to help subsidize performances by the Peppermint Players, our Teen Repertory Company, for schools, churches and community organizations. The play entitled, “A Cultural Quilt” trances Africa-American history from the shores of Africa to the years of slavery, to the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920’s, and ends with The Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s.

Our goal is to present this play to as many diverse audiences as possible, and especially to school children of all ages. This play is not just about African American History, but this is our American History. The play incorporates the production values of song and movement to enhance the story.  As the saying goes” If you don’t know where you came from, you have know idea where you are going”. All donations, no matter the amount, will be sincerely appreciated. Thank you ever so much!
