Assist Cherie's cancer battle

Just as my mom was preparing for a hip-replacement surgery in early Spring, she got diagnosed with Stage IIA breast cancer in her left breast and lymphnode, after her routine mammogram in January.  Although slow growing, the cancer is in her lymphnode-which releases the cancer cells into the rest of the body- making her condition very serious. Within 2 weeks of diagnoses, she had already had her first chemo treatment. Once chemo is finished, she will have a major breast surgery and the lymphnode removed, then 6 weeks of radiation.  If everything goes well she will be unable to work until Fall.
     My mom is a self-employed post-partum night Doula, specializing in multiples and infants with compromised heath. ( breathing problems, feeding issues, etc) As a caregiver, my mom won't be able to work because with her own compromised health, she cannot make the uninterrupted commitment new families need.
      The money we receive will be relied on by my mom and sibilings for paying medical fees, bills and rent over the next 6 months. My mom is also participating in experimental cold caps that will help save her hair. 
  My mom is a symbol of strength for me and I know that she would never admit that we need help in funding her treatment, so as her daughter, I am setting up this page hoping for support from our gracious communtiy.
