Chepinitas School Fundraiser
Chepinitas is a learning center in an impoverished neighborhood north of Veracruz Mexico. There are 32 students enrolled in grades K-6 and 7-9 secondary.
Chepinitas exists to provide an opportunity for poor children in the north region of Veracruz -Llave to complete primary and secondary education. These families cannot afford the public school tuition costs and therefore do not attend school. Illiteracy is rampant in these neighborhoods. Beyond academics, we seek to develop the whole child, emphasizing moral values and aspiring to become noble human beings.
I (Linda), am the founder and sole financial provider for the school. 100% of my income goes to the school for the teachers' salaries, building expenses, school materials, etc. Presently, we are in need of a new roof due to damage from torrencial rain.
On Sunday October 15, 2017, I will host a mexican feast and live music to raise funds for the school!
Location: Schereville Community Center (500 E. Joliet St. Schereville, IN)
Time: 1:00- 3:00 PM
Cost: $25/person prepaid, $30/person at the door. Kids under 10 are free
