Chelsea Newhall Funeral Expenses

Earlier this week, the world lost a wonderful person.  A daughter, a sister, a cousin, a dear friend...  Chelsea was only 22 years old, and has left this earth far too soon.  

I have been asked to post this by her brother, Chad, who is currently in Maine, grieving with his family.  The following is his message for everyone:

"The outpouring of love during this difficult time has been eye-opening. It speaks to the kind of impact my little sister had on the world. Our loss is a devastating one, the effects of which will ripple through our lives for the rest of our years.

My parents have put themselves last for so long in favor of helping others, be it taking in someone who doesn't have a home or stable living condition, to taking in animals who were injured and had no other chance.

What I want to do, aside from covering the funeral costs (as my parents have very little) is to try and take care of them in this difficult time. With family travel costs, time taken from work, and stacking expenses, I want to at least make sure my parents will be stable for a little time ahead.

Those of you that know my mother and father, and who know Chelsea, know how much love surges through them, and I want to make sure that there's as little disruption in their lives as possible, to make sure that flame stays lit. This is the last thing I ever thought I'd be having to do, but know that I 100% appreciate any and all support coming our way more than you could possibly know. 

My parents would never in a million years accept this kind of help, but my sister, Casey, and I have taken the reins and are demanding that they allow themselves to be helped the way that they've always helped others.  Once again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything."

The funeral alone will cost the Newhall family $15,000, and the rest of the goal is to help cover many other expenses, such as travel and bills for a couple months.  The funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 21st.  Any money given will go directly to Chad, who will transfer it to his parents, as they are in charge of the final expenses.
