Chaz's Cheap Tire Fire Relief Fund

My dearest friend of many years and community neighbor Chaz (Charles) Wocell, of "Chaz's Cheep Cheep Tires" on Knik River Rd. in Palmer, lost his entire house and everything inside to a horrible fire today (Feb. 26) and he barely escaped himself after barging through the fire to get to his girlfriend (who unfortunately did not make it out in time), and he is currently in ICU, but only for a few days for observation & treatment for smoke inhalation along with a few minor non life-threatening injuries.
His dog was taken to the Mat-Su Animal shelter and I (LuLu Small) will be retrieving and caring for her until he is released and/or relocated temporarily. The entire Knik River Community is stepping up to help him out, as he now has nothing but the new clothes that another gracious and caring neighbor took to him immediately in the hospital tonight. His tire shop/garage still remains but without power, and he will not be able to work for a while until he is stabilized and settled somewhere, and power is restored to the building.
At this time we the community of his friends and patrons for many years are asking for ANY kind of help from the people whom he has graciously served with his tire business, (and entertained with his wonderful personality), as well as all people of the valley (and state) as it will be a very long process to rebuild after such a loss, not only his home, but his heart....his spirit remains the jovial yet sensitive one that it is, but he is hurting in a way that many cannot understand except in the form of 'compassion', and that is what I and the community together are asking of those of you in the cyber world.
We DO get by with a little help from our friends, and so will Chaz! I will also be setting up a bank account locally in his name for those who'd rather transfer/deposit funds there, etc. and will post that account number in the next 24-48 hrs. I am also going to be working on hosting a fundraiser/potluck for him soon and will post flyers locally and on Facebook as to when and where, etc.
Thank you all, and may the blessings of whatever deity you personally believe in (or not) be with you and those you love! As Chaz said to me earlier at the hospital, "I guess it's all in God's hands now..." (and all of ours as well my friends!)
