Chavarria Family Tragedy

UPDATE 12/13/16: A check for $6,243.03 will be given to Maria Guadalupe Chavarria tomorrow. (GoFundMe takes a small percentage of total funds per their contract). Thank you to everone that contributed to this campaign. The family is very grateful for this community.
UPDATE 12/5/16: The community members Maria (Maru) Cano and Maya Elmer who set up this campaign to raise money for Maria Guadalupe Chavarria are in the process of working with GoFundMe to access the funds on her behalf. This is proving a little tricky because Maria Guadalupe Chavarria does not have a bank account, nor a permanent mailing address, and does not meet other requirements to access the funds herself.
We have designated Maria (Maru) Cano as the person to withdraw the funds. Maru is a Healdsburg resident whose daughter goes to school with the older Chavarria daughter.
Once the funds are available, Maru will give Maria Guadalupe Chavarria 100% of what was raised. She plans to do this in person in the form of a cash gift.
Thank you for your donations. The family is so appreciative of this caring community.
UPDATE 11/29/16: Due to the generous donations of the church, funeral home, and cemetery, the funeral expenses were 100% covered. The money raised by this campaign will go directly to the little girl's mother to help them rebuild their lives after this tragedy. Thank you for your donations.

Many in the community have asked how they can help in response to this tragic loss. We have set up this campaign to help with funeral expenses. Family is in desperate need and in shock by the loss of their 4 year old daughter/sister.
