HELP SAVE ZOOH CORNER'S 25% AND MEDICATIONS DISCOUNTS

Hello Bunny Friends & Animal Lovers,

Zooh Corner has received notice from our vet that we must pay our outstanding balance by August 18th, or we we lose our 25% and medication discounts. This would be devastating. We cannot let this happen again. We need your help. Photos of bills in story. Lots of bunny pics at end of story.

Zooh Corner has been hit with an extraordinary amount of emergencies this year. We were mostly keeping up, until our dear Burlesque Billie Rose needed emergency liver lobe torsion surgery, blood transfusion, and hospitalization. Following that, in quick succession, we had several other pricey emergencies. Despite doing our best--paying off other emergencies, paying for the myriad regular vet visits our elderly and special needs bunnies require, and paying for all medications (there are many!)--we fell behind.

We now owe a total of $9356.25 and we need your help.

Hello Bunny Friends!

Today we are raising funds for Zooh Corner Sanctuary Rabbit, Attila Buttonback, so she can have her annual physical, which is way overdue due to lack of funding. The annual physical includes a basic exam, x-rays, and bloodwork. As you can see on the estimate here, there is a low end, which is basic, and if anything seems off with her bloodwork, we’ve also added urinary diagnostics to check her kidney function. Of course, we’re hoping it will be on the low end, but you never know. And that’s the whole point of a check up: to make sure everything is OK, and to catch any possible budding health issues.

We’ve been struggling to raise funds in general all year, and most have gone to keeping things going, and to our staggering veterinary bills for urgent and emergency care. In order to put more funding into preventive care, we’ve decided to do individual fundraisers for each of the physicals, so you will all know which bunny you’re contributing to, and you will be able to get an update on the outcome of the exam.

Attila Buttonback’s exam is scheduled for next Friday, 20 December.

This is a very simple and desperate plea for donations to help the Zooh Corner Sanctuary Rabbits. We are nearly out of funds and we need your help.

Those of you who know Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue know that we take in elderly and special needs rabbits from shelters, where they are too often abandoned when they most need their humans, and care for them throughout their golden years. We have recently lost a very special sanctuary bunny, our very much loved Fred of Hanford. It is in his memory we are asking for your support.

Rescuing elderly and special needs bunnies is an important but extremely expensive endeavor, and we are currently nearly broke and in desperate need of funds. 2024 has had a rough start for the Zooh Corner Sanctuary Bunnies, and those of us who care for their daily needs.

We currently have under $500 in our bank account, an outstanding vet bill of nearly $1500, bunnies needing to see the vet, and feed and many medications to be purchased (we are running out of several meds and cannot afford to order them from the compounding pharmacy!). That is just a partial list. We are truly in dire need of your support.

Cat and the Zooh Corner Sanctuary Rabbits

A week ago, Noël was rushed to Exotic Animal Veterinary Center - dizzy, unable to stand or hop, and with a very significant head tilt. Unfortunately, diagnostics (bloodwork, radiographs and an e. cuniculi titre) confirmed e. cuniculi. Her day of emergency hospitalization added to our already-large vet bill, and thus far we have only raised $200 towards the bill. In addition, she will need to be seen for follow-up re-checks and diagnostics.

NOËL'S HUSBUN, JEEVES, IS THE BEST CARETAKER EVER.

He rarely leaves her side, leans against her to help her sit up, and puts his body over hers if she starts to roll over.

This fundraiser is to help pay off Noël's ER bill, and to put a bit more on our account. Ultimately, we need to pay this bill off so that we don't lose our so-important 25% discount (just look at the huge amount saved on Noël's bill). We cannot afford to lose that discount.
