Youth Rising

After nearly two years of being on hold due to COVID we are excited to launch our much anticipated programs for summer 2022! As you can imagine, it is an incredible undertaking to regain the momentum and resources to roll out a successful and meaningful summer for the youth in our community. We have the passion, the team, and the expertise, and now we are calling on our community of supporters to contribute to the financial needs of the organization so we can continue this incredible work for our youth.

 

Impact

Your gift will impact hundreds of young people each year by affording us the opportunity to continue our programs for youth in our community. One of the most profound impacts from your support is the prevention and reduction of high risk behaviors, and unhealthy choices and habits, along with the equipping of our youth so they can truly thrive in life.

 

Your generosity will allow us to grow and continue to improve the lives of young people in our community, and expand our reach though the ripple effect. As our participants experience our programs, they bring their new found skills and confidence to all areas of their world. Inspired to lead, these teens become ambassadors for positive change within their peer groups, encouraging others to grow, and make healthy choices as they navigate daily challenges with confidence and integrity.

 

How donations will be used

All donations are tax deductible and will go directly toward Youth Rising and its mission. This includes

• support of organizational systems and operations
• development, support, and implementation of programs for youth
• facilities for programming and training
• scholarships for participants
• equipment and supplies to run effectively and efficiently

Youth Rising, formally known as Workshops for Youth & Families, is a nonprofit 501(c)3. Our mission is to empower youth to thrive in life. We facilitate dynamic programs for pre-teens and teens that inspire confidence, character, resilience, personal leadership, community, and positive wellbeing.

One of the qualities that makes our programs so impactful and successful is our ability to create a truly safe and inclusive environment, which allows the participants the comfort to discover and grow. This is largely made possible through our peer-to-peer mentorship model. Participants who have previously attended one of our programs have the opportunity to apply for our Peer Leader program. This program unites and trains teens to mentor and lead their peers in the Youth Rising workshops. The peer leaders are the heartbeat of the organization and work directly with the participants as the facilitators guide them through the program. This powerhouse team of teens is the gold standard for true peer-to-peer mentorship. There is nothing better than youth leading and supporting youth to truly thrive!
