Yedei Chesed Inc.

Our dear husband and father,  Gershon Sabol Z"L, dedicated his life to the special needs community and their families, working across multiple organizations and caring deeply for the children, families and organizations that he worked for.    Providing respite for these families was a particular passion of his. 

He envisioned building a respite home to serve the population of special needs families who are in Yedei Chesed's care.  He knew the value of, as well as the need for, such a service.  Caring for someone with special needs can often be an overwhelming task, and a wonderful place to take respite from it all can make or break a parent and greatly enhance their ability to care for their child.  He believed that every family not only needed such a service, but truly deserved it as well. This home would also serve as a Day Habilitation for Yedei Chesed’s children.

He was in the initial planning stages of building this dream home when COVID-19 tragically claimed his life. 

Our  family has taken the very bold task upon ourselves to raise the necessary funds to make his dream a reality and to help his legacy live on.  We are working hand in hand with Yedei  Chesed, the organization he gave the last 25 years of his life to, and the professionals he left in his succession, to make this happen. Yedei Chesed has already purchased property designated for this home.   The project is estimated to cost $2,000,000.00 , and we know that with your help, it can be done.   

The 2nd day of Av would have been our father's 65th birthday, and we aspire to reach a goal of 10% by this date to kick start this long term plan into motion.
