- David Good is fundraisingMy name is David Good. My Yanomami name is Ayopowe, and I am a Yanomami microbiome researcher, nonprofit leader, and advocate for Indigenous rights. As the executive director of the Yanomami Foundation, I work to equip my people with resources, technology, and intercultural training to protect our way of life and preserve our Amazonian homeland.
Currently, I am completing my PhD, researching the role of diet in the gut microbiota of the Yanomami. While scientific research benefits the academic world, my mission is to ensure that the Yanomami also gain tangible benefits from it.
With your support, I am launching two groundbreaking projects: a Yanomami Microbiome Research Guide in our language and an AI chatbot to support education and cultural preservation. These initiatives will empower my people and bridge the gap between Indigenous knowledge and modern science.
Your donation will help make this vision a reality. Join me in supporting the Yanomami!0 supporters
