Yankeetown Elementary is a small school in Warrick County, IN.  Considered by many in the area to be a hidden gem, this school has a dedicated staff and PTO. We're all passionate about giving our students not only a great education, but allowing them an opportunity to also develop their social and physical skills. Often these areas are formed on the school playground.  


The school playground hasn't seen any significant upgrades in decades.  Some of our equipment is badly outdated and in need of replacement.  The cost associated with updating both equipment and our ground cover is pretty staggering.  It's our hope that we can count on our community -- family, friends and neighbors -- to help give our students a safe playground they can be proud to to call their own. 

We have identified several pieces we'd like to add to our playground. The first is a Unity Slide which will cost approximately $10,000 to purchase and install. This piece adds a slide with a couple climbing features and a tunnel. It's part of the Unity Collection mentioned in the video above.


The second piece we'd like to add is a Unity Teeter Tunnel which will cost approximately $7000 to purchase and install. This is part of the Unity Collection as well and delivers a fun teeter totter experience with a small tunnel.


All of the equipment we are adding is rated for kids 5-12 years old, thus benefits every student at the school.  In addition to these two pieces, we hope to also upgrade our ground covering, bring in some new swings, add a sheltered area and build some sidewalks. These final elements can be added as the additional funds become a reality.
