World Information Transfer (WIT) is a proud non-profit, non-governmental organization. Since l992, WIT has convened what we believe to be one of the world’s premier forums for the presentation of scientific papers by international experts on the growing clinical evidence supporting the link between degrading environments and diminished human health.

World Information Transfer Inc. is currently raising money to support work on advancing its mission of disseminating information on critical health issues, environmental literacy, climate change and on the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected the way in which we conduct our work.
Any donation will help make an impact, and ensure that we continue with our mission of information sharing and education. Your donations will help us continue with our work in building a sustainable future for ourselves and our children. We rely on people like you to keep today's youth educated and engaged in the fight again climate change, global health crisis and environmental degradation.

Aid WIT's Mission for a Healthier Planet
World Information Transfer, Inc. (WIT) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization in General Consultative Status with the United Nations, promoting environmental health and literacy. In 1987, inspired by the Chornobyl nuclear tragedy in Ukraine, WIT was formed in recognition of the pressing need to provide accurate, actionable information about our deteriorating global environment and its effect on human health. WIT exercises its mandate through:

WORLD ECOLOGY REPORT (WER):

Published since 1989, the World Ecology Report is a quarterly digest of critical health and environment issues, produced in four languages and distributed to thousands of citizens throughout the developing and developed world.

HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT CONFERENCES:

Since 1992, WIT has convened annual conferences, held at United Nations headquarters, on the growing clinical evidence supporting the link between environmental degradation and its effect on human health. The conferences have been co-sponsored by UN member states and its agencies.

INTERNSHIP:

WIT offers internships at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. Our goal is to assist future leaders in understanding what the world needs to be sustainable and to learn about issues in health and environment. Our interns spend the majority of their time following the United Nations agenda. There are 3 sessions: spring, winter, and summer – all require applications.

HUMANITARIAN AID:

In conjunction with the K. Kovshevych Foundation, WIT provides humanitarian aid to schools and orphanages in areas devastated by environmental degradation.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:

WIT assists the K. Kovshevych Foundation in finding intellectually gifted university students in need of financial assistance to continue their studies in areas related to health and environment.

WORLDINFO.ORG:

WIT publishes scientific presentations from our annual conferences held at the United Nations, the archived World Ecology Reports, Speakers Series, and Virtual Voices on worldinfo.org.

VIRTUAL VOICES WEBINARS:

A series of webinars hosted by WIT as part of its constant effort to promote fact-based, science-backed news on health and the environment are open to the public via Zoom and are later published on WIT’s YouTube channel and website.

We are fundraising to support these vital initiatives and ensure that we can continue to provide accurate, actionable information about our global environment and its impact on human health.

Help Amplify the Voices of Ukrainian Youth for Peace and Justice

War silences too many voices. We’re here to make sure these aren’t among them.

World Information Transfer (WIT) is raising funds to support our Virtual Voices Ukraine campaign—a powerful youth-led media initiative spotlighting the realities of war, peace, and recovery through the eyes of Ukrainian university students.

These are not politicians. They are the future.

Aspiring journalists, law students, peacebuilders, and environmental advocates—speaking directly from regions under siege. Through our platform, they share critical insights on:

• The danger of appeasement and the cost of false ceasefires

• The environmental devastation of war—from poisoned farmland to nuclear risk zones

• The role of truth-telling and independent journalism in resisting propaganda

• The power of local and international support to sustain hope, aid, and defense

• Why true peace requires justice, not silence

These voices matter. But they risk being buried beneath bureaucracy, misinformation, and global fatigue. That’s where you come in.

Who We Are

World Information Transfer (WIT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. WIT was founded in 1987 in direct response to the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, when disinformation about radiation’s health effects endangered millions. Since then, WIT has worked globally to spotlight the link between environmental degradation and human health, with a mission to promote science-based, youth-led, and multilingual information campaigns for global well-being.

For nearly 40 years, WIT has provided trusted platforms for youth to speak truth to power. Virtual Voices is our flagship initiative for amplifying the lived experience of those directly impacted by crisis, conflict, and climate change.

What We’re Raising Funds For

We’re seeking to raise $250,000 to:

• Edit, subtitle, and translate youth testimonies into digestible, shareable formats for Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, Substack, and news syndicates

• Produce a short documentary and educational toolkit to present at global forums including the UN, COP climate conferences, university networks, and human rights summits

• Support youth-led micro-campaigns focused on civic journalism, peacebuilding, and ecological restoration in Ukraine

• Create high-impact content to counter disinformation and engage global audiences with credible, emotional, and human-centered storytelling

This isn’t just about media. It’s about memory, resilience, and accountability.

As the war drags on, the global spotlight dims. But for these students, the trauma continues—missile strikes on civilian centers, poisoned soil, contaminated rivers, abducted children. Amid all this, they speak with clarity, integrity, and moral courage.

They’re not asking the world to fight for them.

They’re asking the world to listen.
