Wonder Weims Rescue Shamrock surgery
This little darling (Shammy) is back from her trip to see the vet in Columbia & have her echo cardiogram. It was not the news we wanted by any means. She has a PDA (patent ductus arterious. This is a genetic condition where the pda does not close and affects her heart.

She HAS to have surgery to survive and live a normal life. Her heart is enlarged on the left side & she is high risk for developing heart failure soon.

Her wonderful fairy godmother Michelle Hunter went ahead and scheduled her surgery for July 9th. This pup just can't wait. She came home on medications & home monitoring until her surgery.

WE NEED DONATIONS! Her surgery, follow up medications and follow up echo cardio-gram (in 3 months) will run approx. 3,000. 00

Wonder Weims Rescue is a non-profit 501C, non-kill animal rescue group dedicated to rescuing Weimaraners in Missouri, Nebraska and surrounding areas. We help to heal their emotional and physical wounds, educate the public on the breed, temperament, training, exercise and leadership. We advise the public on spaying and neutering, (a Wonder Weim requirement) the horrors of puppy mill’s and encourage adoption from rescues and responsible, reputable breeders. We work with other humane organizations to locate lost pets and rescue abandoned and abused animals. The ultimate goal of our organization is to give animals the respect, care and proper medical attention they deserve and give them an opportunity to be loved and be a part of a forever home.
