The Womans Club of Raleigh May Fundraiser
The Woman's Club of Raleigh, having the primary source of income to fund our operations and outreach programs put on hold, is asking for your help! Please donate whatever you are able to and share this fundraiser with your friends and family. We will be able to get back to business soon, but in the meantime we really need a little extra help from our amazing members and their many contacts. We all know how important this club is and we must do what we can to help keep it strong and able to aid our community effectively at a time when we are most needed.
The Woman's Club of Raleigh, founded in 1904, has long been committed to serving the community in the areas of Arts and Culture, Civic Engagement, Education and Libraries, Environment, and Health and Wellness. When we built our home over fifty years ago, we intended for it to be a community center for the public to use for events and for the Club to use to fulfill the mission of our organization. It has supported our community commitments and program services as well as its own maintenance through rentals generated by creating custom spaces designed to host dream weddings, corporate meetings and receptions as well as celebrations, galas and more. Sadly, COVID-19 has derailed our source of income due to the restrictions on public gatherings. The building costs approximately $15,000 per month to maintain as we have a commercial kitchen with a sanitation rating of 100 and we strive to keep the entire building clean according to the standards prescribed by DHHS for COVID-19. We have existed for over 100 years for the primary purpose of assisting our community. Now, we need the public's help to be able to continue our basic operations and maintenance of our clubhouse. Please consider assisting us as we strive to weather the financial difficulty caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Your contributions and support are greatly appreciated.
