the witness project of connecticut seeks to reduce the number of afrcian amercian women diagnosed with later stage breast cancer to address this disease and the disparity of breast cancer among african american women the witness project trained 25 women as lay health advisors on breast cancer, conducted 47 breast health education programs in cities and towns in ctrecruited 98 volunteers to conduct community outreach, connected with 40 organziations to bulid collaborative partnerships
