Wings And Reins, Equine Refuge, Inc. (W.A.R.) is dedicated to helping equines that have been abused, neglected, abandoned and are at risk of going to slaughter. W.A.R. is a no kill shelter and we have long term residents due to health or behavioral concerns. Our mission is to rehabilitate and train as many equines as possible so that they may be adopted to loving, long term homes that benefits both the equine and the adoptive family. W.A.R. frequently works with Law Enforcement officers in 5 counties on abuse and neglect cases. We also accept equines surrendered by private owners. W.A.R. works with other equine/horse rescues providing horse training and information. W.A.R. operates on the generosity of volunteers, individual donors, sponsors and fundraising efforts.
