Heather Muller Black Box Theatre
*We are the Heather Muller Black Box Theatre, a non- for profit organization, and facet of the Wichita Children's Theatre & Dance Center.
*We were formed in 2004 in honor and memory of Heather Muller, one of our students and performers who was taken from us way too soon. Heather's vibrant spirit lives on in the theater that bears her name!
*We provide performance opportunities for teens in our community and surrounding communities. We are a small 65 seat house.
*We hire professional directors, choreographers, musicians and technicians to give the students a first hand experience of working with trained artists.
*We charge no fee for students to audition or participate in our productions allowing students across all socioeconomic backgrounds to take part.
*We host an annual silent auction which provides the vast majority of our operating costs for the year.
*The Covid-19 pandemic caused our annual auction to be canceled and continues to make it an impossibility.
*WE NEED YOUR HELP...
*Our young people need us now more than ever. Many of them are only attending school virtually and have had all extra curricular activities canceled.
*We have implemented many new safety rules and regulations, allowing us to reopen as of Sept. 8, 2020. We are attempting a fall production and making plans for 2021 as well.
*The arts are a vital component of many young people's lives.
Please help us... help them... by keeping our 2020-2021 season alive.
