Gracie's Story

Gracie is as sweet a girl as anyone is likely to meet.  She is a Turkish cab mix, about seven years old, who lost her home when the woman she belonged to passed away. On top of all this, poor Gracie is the victim of having been cruelly declawed. Furthermore, she received rather poor care in her former life. She came badly matted and needing extensive dental work. She also had two masses growing on her head that needed to be surgically removed.  (Fortunately, biopsies showed they were benign, and the surgery was successful.)

Altogether, the final tally for her care came to close to $1,000. Even with all this, Gracie remains a sweet purring machine who gets along with dogs, kids and other cats, all with a heart that's wired to love.

All donations will go toward veterinary bills. Any amount you contribute toward her care will be greatly appreciated—even if it’s just a few dollars.  Any amount exceeding the goal will be applied toward the veterinary bills of other rescued cats-- rescue isn't cheap!

UPDATE!

Valentino wound up needing fewer extractions than expected, so the bill turned out to be rather less than the original amount requested in this fundraiser. As of this writing, the goal has nearly been reached. Thank you all for your support!

Whiskers Of Hope, Inc., is raising funds for Valentino's dental work. Valentino is a gorgeous all-white Persian who recently lost his home when the person who meant the world to him passed away. No one in the family was able to take him in, and now this gentle boy is in a caring foster home—safe, but still in need.

Before Valentino can be adopted into a loving forever home, he urgently needs dental work. The estimated cost is $850, though that may shift slightly as his care progresses.

Any amount you give will make a real difference. Even a few dollars helps. If more is raised than Valentino needs, the extra will go toward medical care for other rescued cats.
