About Wheelchairs Against Guns Inc (Wheelchairs Against Guns, Inc)

Wheelchairs Against Guns INC is a nonprofit charitable organization comprised of individuals who live with disabilities as a result of gun violence. Our mission is to protect at-risk youth from the dangers of bullying, gangs, and gun violence. Because of their first-hand experiences in urban environments, members of WAG are able to provide real world solutions to potentially toxic situations in a way inner-city students can relate to and understand. Each week members of our organization visit schools, churches, and community centers in low-income neighborhoods to conduct gun and gang violence prevention workshops. Our workshops teach students how to avoid potentially dangerous situations by learning critical thinking skills, conflict resolution strategies, and how to build and maintain positive self-esteem.
