Please join us in congratulating the Wethersfield Youth Cheerleading PeeWee (B) team for advancing to the National Championship Competition in Orlando, Florida! During the second week in December the Wethersfield Youth Cheerleaders will be honored for their accomplishments thus far as well as compete for the National title!

The 2023-2024 season has been an exciting and rewarding one. We have expanded the team with new faces as well as new coaches and through their hard work, commitment, and dedication they have once again put Wethersfield Youth Cheerleading in the National spotlight.

In efforts to support the team and allow them to continue this journey, we are looking to you for support to offset some of the expenses that are associated with this accomplishment. Please consider helping our cheerleaders advance to Florida through a charitable donation. Our goal is to raise $10,000 but any and all donations will help! This year Wethersfield Cheer joined  Southern CT Pop Warner and with that came a whole new level of Cheer for our girls. All our teams worked so hard to not only cheer on our football teams but to push themselves to new levels , with competitions that we have not yet done at this level before. This was all new to the girls and the program.

 

After all our Cheer teams competed in the state and league competitions  in New Haven earlier this fall, 2 Wethersfield teams won automatic bids to the NEW ENGLAND POP WARNER REGIONAL FINALS this past weekend. Our Wethersfield B team Cheer was finally selected by invitation based on their score to also attend. Things moved so fast this week. These girls increased their practice times, held team bonding events, and arrived at UMASS Lowell the weekend of 11/6 to show all of New England just what Wethersfield Cheer could do and thankful for the opportunity.

 

All of our girls did amazing and we are all so proud of how far they have come. Our Wethersfield B Team girls competed against all 8 New England teams in their division.  In a true CINDERELLA story  they came within the TOP groups score qualified and advanced to the POP WARNER NATIONAL CHEER COMPETITION at Universal Studios in Florida to be held 12/4-12/8/21.

 

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these girls that proved time and again to keep pushing and never give up.

 

Obviously with such an unexpected outcome, short turn around time until Nationals, and it being so close to the holidays, we are looking to see if our community can come rally to support these girls and our amazing college age coaches, Lexi and Grace, who for the past 20+ months have had so much of their lives changed because of COVID-19

 

We would love to be able to offset some of the cost to give these girls and young coaches this amazing opportunity. We would like to be able to set the groundwork for our up and coming program so that future girls in Wethersfield can join our program and have them all show just how great Wethersfield Cheer is!!!
