The Brentwood My Brother's Keeper program is an initiative that supports our students through mentoring, leadership development and college awareness.  Our students support each other and perform community service in school and in their neighborhood.  We are planning a transformative service learning trip for them to Panama in Central America in June 2020, where they will visit schools, study the rain forest and perform a community service project.  We are asking for help to offset the cost of this experience for our amazing MBK students.  

The West Islip Youth Enrichment Services Incorporated is one of our primary partners and they will be supporting us with this fundraising endeavor.  

Computers for Kids Campaign

For the Students of Central Islip and Brentwood School Districts


Dear Friend of Children and Education,


As you know, the COVID-19 Crisis necessitated school closings throughout the country. Some school systems were ready to pivot into Distance Learning because students had and have access to personal computers or District-supplied devices. Brentwood and Central Islip are two of the hardest hit communities on Long Island having suffered well over 5,000 infections combined.


For many of Central Islip’s 7,500+ and Brentwood’s 18,000+ students grades PK-12 (ages 4 to 20), they neither have a personal computer at home nor a District-supplied device. We have identified over 8,000 students by name who are attempting distance learning without computer and internet access. Our hope is to change their reality!


Our goal is two-fold. We hope to raise $1,000,000 worth of funds and donated & discounted devices for any Brentwood and Central Islip student in need regardless of race, color or any other protected status. We also hope to work with local school officials to ensure that a plan of action for the delivery of ipad/tablets/Chromebooks/laptops/etc to each and every Brentwood and Central Islip student is developed and published as soon as possible.
