WeShine Initiative Inc. builds and operates neighborhood-based micro villages to provide transitional shelter, wraparound services, and housing connections to underserved segments of the unsheltered adult population in the Portland Oregon metropolitan area. WeShine prioritizes serving those who may not feel welcome or safe in large or more traditional shelter settings. These priority populations include Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, those who identify as LGBTQIA2S+, older adults, adults with disabilities, those fleeing domestic violence , those who identify as female.
