Well Worn

We are reaching out to share the story of Wellworn, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Bend, Oregon, that has taken a stand against clothing insecurity in Central Oregon. Founded by Nathan Adams, a compassionate junior at Summit High School, Wellworn embodies the spirit of community service and innovation, aiming to ensure that everyone in our community has access to the clothing they need to live with dignity and confidence.

Our Mission

At Wellworn, we understand that clothing is not just about fashion – it's a basic need that impacts individuals' employment opportunities, self-esteem, and daily life. With over 10,000 people living under the poverty line in Bend, the need for our services has never been more critical. Our mission is to source and distribute gently used clothing to those in need, making a tangible difference in their lives.

How We Make a Difference

Our process is simple yet impactful. We collect clothing donations from generous individuals and organizations, then sort, inspect, and clean these items to ensure they meet our quality standards. By packaging clothes with size labels, we make the distribution process efficient and dignified, allowing recipients to easily find what they need. This unique approach has not only streamlined our operations but also ensured that we serve our community with respect and inclusivity.

Our Funding Goal

To continue and expand our vital work, we are seeking to raise $5,000 through this GoFundMe campaign to cover operational costs. Your generous donations will now be allocated as follows:

- Supplies: $1,500 (30%) for purchasing necessary materials to prepare and package the clothing.

- Operations: $3,500 (70%) to cover the costs of organizing community events and maintaining our facilities.
