Welcome Home Inc

Hi Friends,

As some of you may know I have been volunteering for an organization called Welcome Home for a little while now. Welcome Home is a non-profit organization in Newton, MA that provides household goods with no fees, forms, or requirements to document need. If someone needs the items to help set-up a new home for themselves and their families, Welcome Home wants to provide them. It could be sheets and towels for a woman who escaped domestic abuse and got her own apartment or it could be a toaster and dishes for refugees from Ukraine. Every client is different and I feel so proud to be able to serve them through this organization.

What you may also know is that I am currently training for the Newport Marathon on April 15th. I used to be the type of person who wouldn’t run unless I was being chased, but I have found a great team that is so positive and cheers me on to become someone I never thought I could be…a real runner.

I was recently thinking that maybe I could use my run to help Welcome Home in some way. It would mean so much to me if my friends and family could support my run, and also this great cause. I will donate every penny collected so Welcome Home can serve more people. Of course, if you have home goods in excellent condition, I would also welcome those donations.
