We are raising money to benefit children and adults with Intellectual/Physical/Developmental disabilities. We aim to use the money to provide social, recreational and enrichment programs to them through WeEMBRACE.

All of the money raised will be put towards leasing this center, and allow us to offer in person enrichment programs and activities.

Objective Goal:

To raise $386,000 for covering expenses for 3 years.

Purpose:

To lease a center where we can provide programs for training/activities/classes and workshops in person and virtual.

We have been renting different facilities on an hourly basis for our programs, which has a lot of limitations. Funds raised will help us reach more families and offer more enrichment activities after school/day programs and on weekends for children/adults with disabilities.

About Us:

WeEMBRACE is a grassroots volunteer-driven organization consisting of parents, trained professionals, peer buddies and volunteers. We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit support organization based in Rancho Cordova, California. Our EIN is 82-4279137.

Our vision is to provide family support to children, teens, adults, and seniors who have intellectual/physical/developmental disabilities, and build a loving and all-inclusive community. We support families in and around Sacramento by providing them opportunities to network with each other, helping them learn about the existing resources and connect with the community at large. We serve all ages, all ethnicities, and all disabilities. We also provide nationwide virtual programs all year long with the help of our passionate and dedicated volunteers.

Some of the programs and activities that we currently offer are

• Music, Zumba, Yoga, Arts & Crafts, Bollywood dance,

• Adaptive Basketball, Adaptive Soccer

• Cooking socials, Bowling socials,

• Prevocational classes

• Monthly workshops on empowering topics for parents, Support meetings for parents.

We also offer social activities for families and volunteers - Moms/Dads Get-together, Family camps, Family Picnics, Dance-a-thon, Talent/Fashion shows, Halloween fun & Costume Parade, Holiday Parties, and an Inclusive 5K Walk/Run, Sports Day, Volunteer appreciation, Disability Resource fair etc.

Additionally, we are developing an innovative vocational program to assist young adults with disabilities with setting up their businesses.
