Imagine being a child waking up to the sound of bullets and bombs. This is a daily reality for more than one in six children worldwide. To help change this, we are supporting War Child, an organization that fights for children’s rights through four key pillars: psychosocial support, education, child protection, and youth empowerment. Together, we can reach more children in need, evacuate them to safety, and transform their lives.
In 2023, War Child provided crucial support to 361,274 children, helping them recover from the trauma of war through its interventions (War Child Annual Report, 2023). By 2025, the organization aims to double this number, working to break the devastating cycle of war’s impact on children.
One of War Child’s initiatives, Can’t Wait to Learn, was awarded the prestigious Yidan Prize for Education Development, the highest accolade in education. Supported by international NGOs and the United Nations, this program has proven to improve reading skills by 2.7 times and math skills nearly twice as much as Sudan’s Government Alternative Learning Programme (ALP).
With Haiti suffering from severe gang violence and illiteracy, being the 22nd most illiterate country in the world (World Atlas, 2024), we are raising 1,000 USD to help War Child expand to its 17th location in Haiti, where Can’t Wait to Learn will be launched.
No child should grow up in fear or violence. Your contribution can help War Child provide urgent care and life-changing educational opportunities, allowing children to reclaim their right to live safely and thrive in peace.
Donate now to support War Child and share this campaign to help us reach even more children.
