We picked Moose up when he was just a baby and have been in love with him ever since we brought him home. We spoil him like he deserves and the word “no” isn’t said very often in our house. Our 3yo Golden is the heart of our world. He’s a "genius derp"—smart enough to balance treats on his nose and catch fish from icy rivers, yet goofy enough to keep us laughing daily. 20lbs lighter but still fighting, he’s too young for this story to end. We’re doing the absolute most to get him a life-saving transplant. Please help our smart, brave boy reach a cure. Every wag counts. Moose isn't just a dog; he is our world. At only 3, he should be in the prime of his life—swimming, chasing balls, and giving those famous "smiles." He has so much life left to live and many more years of love to give. Our world shattered last week when we noticed Moose was losing weight rapidly and had swollen nodes in his neck. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where we confirmed: Lymphoma We’re willing to do the absolute most for our boy, but the costs are staggering. Between the emergency hospitalization to save his kidneys and the months of intensive chemo ahead, we are facing bills upwards of $15,000. We are a hardworking family, but we can’t do this alone

Weston used to be spy until he was burned. Named after the character Michael Weston from Burn Notice, as it was one of my favorite shows and I was so sad after watching the last epiosde. Weston is Justin and I's first furbaby. We rescued him the year we got married and purchased our first home. We were so happy to have him join our family and he made our house feel like a home. Weston is a really special Cat. He is so social and friendly. He was affectionately referred to as our cat-dog in his younger years. When our son was learning to walk, being able to play with Weston motivated him to work on his balance and speed. He would run around the house with a measuring ribbon as Weston chased him. Weston never batted anyone with his claws out. Our young daughter received a present for making frienship bracelets with beads and elastic string. She went to her room, to keep this item out of harms way as no animals typically enter her room. Unfortuntely Weston, chose this moment to go stealth mode and ingest the top secret and highly dangerous elastic string. This caused a blockage in his small intestines requiring emergency surgery. This year has been challenging as we went from a double income family to a single income family. We have made a lot of sacrifices to be able to continue to provide for our family, and we couldn't bear to part with our animal.

Duke is a long-haired mini dachshund, who loves to chase lizards, hunt in the back yard, and play outside in the sunshine. I have had my sweet Duke all 9 years of his life, and he is still as spunky as ever. He lives with his Mommy, Daddy, human sister and brother. We recently lost his doggie sister Daisy, and I know he misses her everyday; Daisy and Duke were inseparable. Duke is the man of the house, making sure to keep his family safe with every loud bark. Sometimes I think he forgets he's only 12 pounds! He loves to explore the back yard, jumping on logs and prances through the grass like a bunny rabbit. Duke gives the best cuddles and loves rolling over for some belly scratches! He loves to cuddle most with my daughter (probably because she shares her goldfish) Duke was recently suddenly diagnosed with a rapid growing mast cell tumor. After establishing care at Fetch Specialty & Emergency Vet, we discovered the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes. Luckily by the grace of God, his spleen and liver have not been affected! This makes him a candidate for radiation treatment in combination with chemotherapy. He will need to undergo multiple treatments. I unexpected needed major lung surgery and was unable to work as an RN. I have many appointments to treat my chronic illness, and the medical bills pile up. It would mean the absolute world to have my Duke healthy and cancer free! He has been by my side through everything.

My wife rescued Piper June 6, 2016. They are two peas in a pod! I met Piper in April of 2022. She wasn’t a huge fan of me being the new “lady” in her moms life and bringing a brother she never asked for, but over time we have become best friends! She lives in an apartment with both her moms and her older, big brother, Beastly. She’s the boss though! She is the best cuddles and occasional nurse for me when I am sick. She is my little shadow and loves to give kisses even if they are a bit aggressive and invasive sometimes! She has the best side eye and little attitude. She knows how to wrap you around her paws. She makes the rules, and we just provide her with love and a home! It is impossible not to fall into a spell under her adorable charm! Piper had 8 teeth extractions 2/17/26. She has a history of dental disease, but she is other wise a very healthy pup. Wednesday, her left eye was very swollen and not tracking. After two ER visits she was given eye drops and medication. Her dental surgeon saw her 2/20-21 and found abscesses and an ulcer. She went critical 2/21 and transferred to ICU at Vet Specialty Hosp 10435 Sorrento Valley Rd This medical emergency is completely unexpected. Her care for the weekend alone is $12,000 dollars. She is fighting hard but after this weekend we financially can’t help her fight longer. We don’t want to say goodbye to our baby girl, but we just are not financially able

Laila was a puppy from a litter that I bred.. I could not sell her and got stuck with her because she had a crick in her tail and would not be able tocompete in shows. Today, I am glad that she had that crook in her tail! She has become my best friend, and has saved my life in more ways than one. Laila is an only pet. And is very territorial with any other animals.. She is very spoiled , and lazy! lol But she get nothing but Love and attention all day, everyday. Laila is also my emotional support animal. When I’m sad or stressed , she knows it. That’s when she will waddle to me for rubs, hugs, and loves. These last 4 days have been hard without her. So I can’t imagine never getting her back bc I simply don’t have the money to pay the vet. On Feb 20 Laila had to have an emergency spay surgery for pyometria. without the surgery, she would not have made it through that day. I explained to the vet that I did not have the money upfront to pay for the surgery., they insisted on doing it anyway. Now, 4 days later they are saying they are keeping my dog until I pay $500 of the $901 vet bill to Danville KY Animal Clinic. Having Laila well and back home again will be a huge releif. I am forever grateful to the vet who did the surgery. They saved her life! When no other vet would do it.. but they should have been clear about the payment in the beginning. I’m just ready for her to come home.!

Lazlo is a foster fail. I knew he was mine almost immediately after picking him up. He is the best boy and loves with so much enthusiasm it’s infectious. Lazlo is a people person, and loves to try to get anyone and any animal to play with him. He is a typical bouncy, goofy Boxer. He is the sweetest boy and the best boy. If he is not looking for food, he is the best cuddler! You don't need a blanket with him on you. He had a lump on his ear since he was brought in to the foster organization. It wasn’t until about 3 months ago that it started growing and causing him discomfort. He scratches it and it bleeds and he requires meds and cleaning just to control it. We are opting for a pinnectomy at Horizon Veterinary. We know it’s cancerous, but this will improve his daily life. I am single, struggling after a divorce and trying to keep up with everything else life is throwing my way. Lazlo deserves to live as comfortably as possible for the duration of his life.

Five years ago, Leo was found tied to a bench at a train station, sick with kennel cough and waiting for someone who never came back. I brought him home, and slowly his fear turned into trust. Today, he’s my loyal companion — a reminder that love can heal abandonment and that second chances change everything. Leo is my best friend and loves everyone he meets. Even at the hospital, as weak as he was, he insisted on visiting everyone in the waiting room, gently asking for pets and offering tail wags. That’s Leo — spreading love and comfort, even when he needed it most. Leo had diarrhea and vomiting for two weeks and wasn’t improving. Our vet diagnosed anemia and Ehrlichia, a tick-borne disease. After a few days on meds, he seemed better, then suddenly collapsed. At the emergency vet, his red blood cell count was dangerously low, and he needed a blood transfusion so I rushed him to FETCH Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers for critical care. Leo’s hospital care has already cost over $7,000. As a college student, it’s overwhelming, but he’s my best friend. I’ll spend everything I have and do whatever it takes to get him the treatment he needs and bring him home healthy.

When we first got our French Bulldog, Lyla, she was just a tiny bundle of energy and sweetness. Out of the whole litter, she was the smallest — the little runt who instantly melted our hearts. Despite her petite size, she had a big personality right from the start. Our kids fell in love with her immediately and chose the name Lyla — it suited her perfectly. Lyla is full of life and has a personality all her own. She recently became best friends with our cat, Luna- hesitant at first, but now inseparable. She loves emptying her toy bin to find the perfect bone to chew on and can never get enough love or attention from anyone around her. She's full of joy and still has so much life to live. We brought Lyla home as a happy, loving puppy, but around the age of two she be suffering from ear infections. Despite ongoing care since she was a puppy at Saxony Animal Clinic, her conditions have worsened. She now has a mass in her ear canal that need to be surgically removed. She is under the care @ Pearl Surgical Center and will need surgery to help improve her quality of life. Lylas ongoing health issues have already been a significant financial strain on our family. We have done everything we can to manage her care, but now that this surgery is needed the cost is more than we are able to afford on our own.

Nola came to live with us in 2017. She belonged to my niece but she was not able to care for her because of her mom's ( my sister's) health condition, they had to be away from home a lot because frequent hospital visits. We had another dog at the time but Nola wanted all of the attention at first but eventually she mellowed out. She learned at lot from him. She still does things he used to do. She still has a lot of energy. When we go for walks she hurries down the street just like before. She still always wants to the center of attention, needs to sit next to you on sofa. Loves when we have visitors, still nosey. Whenever my mom visits she can locate her in another room now matter what. She still plays with a few of her toys, I just leave them so she can locate easily. Nola has Glaucoma in both eyes and she is now blind. I noticed she was having vision issues but I thought it was because of cataracts which I noticed in one eye. When I realized she could not see at all, vet diagnosed Glaucoma which was eventually diagnosed in both eyes. Visited OSU veterinary ophthalmologist and determined best course of action would be to remove both eyes. Free from pain. Caring for Nola has gotten to be more expensive. Eye drops need to be refilled about every 3 wks. Vet care more expensive for routine visits. I just can't afford the surgery anytime soon. 2nd time meds stopped working. Just want her to be pain free.

Scout was a street rescue picked up by a friend as a feral kitten at about 2 weeks old and he has been hitched to my side ever since. All 8 years of his life. He's my little buddy and I love him dearly. Scout's a very normally quiet and timid boy, but when he feels safe and sound he is the loviest little cuddlebug I've ever meet. Even with his health issues and hurt paw he is crawling into bed with me to sleep at my side every night. Like I said, he is joined at the hip to me. If he's not sleeping in his little house or at my side; he's curled up with his niece, (seen in the photos) Squeaky. A few weeks ago I discovered that his paw was hurt after it swelled up so we took him to the vet but they didn't think anything was broken so he was just given some steroids/pain meds and we kept watch to see if anything got better. However; after his paw grew 4x the size we brought him for an x-ray and tissue sample. And after the x-ray we discovered it's a double fracture and we should amputate. The economy is really rough. I am hanging on to my job for as little as it pays, and my roommate, who has already helped so much with vet bills and x-ray costs, are just barely scraping by to pay rent and keep the cats fed every month. We really need help to afford this.
