Victory Transformation

Hi friends, this is my fundraising page to raise money for Victory through our annual bike ride. This year and going forward, this event is in memory of my friend and fellow rider Eric Bresee. We are riding to Watertown this year!

There are many reasons I am raising money for Victory Transformation: (1) My husband and I founded this ministry that started in our home. We helped people with critical needs or those who had emotional and spiritual needs. Many were homeless, some were in recovery. We were privileged to share their journeys and help people to get on their feet and be empowered to serve and help others. (2) Critical needs such as security deposits and rental help have increased dramatically over the past two years. Organizations that provide this kind of help are running out of funds early in the year. Even our homeless in the shelters continue to maintain employment but can not afford housing. Our unhoused on the streets struggle with mental health issues, addiction, loss of healthy natural supports, poor nutrition and medical care among other things. Sometimes, the greatest thing we can do for them is meet them where they are at and listen to their story (3) Victory is working to open a shelter in Fulton for homeless men. The needs in our community our great. Victory helps by giving a hand up.

I volunteered to do a 60 mile bike ride that benefits Victory Transformation, a ministry in Oswego NY that helps the homeless and critically needy in our community. Hi all! I’m participating in the annual biking event for Victory Transformation again this year! It will be on Friday September 13th. We are biking from Oswego to Watertown this time which is roughly 60 miles (a bit shorter than last year so that’s a win!) I have been volunteering at Victory Men’s home once a week for about a year and a half and I can’t say enough about the work that they do! I look forward to Wednesdays every week! I am privileged to be a small part of the life-changing stories that can happen in a community of caring, Christian people! The men are given a hand up not a hand out. After some time and support from the advocates, the men are ready to find work and their own place to continue living and thriving. It’s also amazing to see the bond that develops between them while they are there, a real brotherhood. But Victory not only serves the men in the home but the community at large with critical needs, a warming shelter, and assistance finding a place to live. Any small donation to my ride would be so appreciated!!!
