The lesson horses and ponies of Valley Riding Inc. provide an amazing opportunity for our students to learn and grow, both inside the ring and beyond.  They are tolerant and willing, a kind and gentle teacher and partner.

King is no exception.  He has been a valuable member of our herd for 5 years.  We are reaching out to you now  to assist us in providing him care.  For over a year and a half King has had a reoccurring abscess in his hoof.  Cleveland Equine Veterinary Clinic has been out numerous times caring for him, and he is on medications to alleviate the issue.  The abscess has not healed completely and King now needs a hoof surgery.  We hope to return a happy and healthy King to our lesson students, so we thank you for recognizing his value and considering a donation toward his care.

As Covid-19 continues to impact our suddenly unemployed school horses, we are turning to our Facebook friends to help support these magnificent animals who give so much to their community.  Your gift would help feed and provide the necessary care requirements for our horses until we can get our lesson program running again.

Since 1985, VRI, a non-profit organization, has served the greater Cleveland area providing riding lessons and equine knowledge to a community of special needs students as well as of able-bodied students.  Our programs are committed to providing top rated instruction and the “therapy” only a horse can provide.  Some of our outreach programs include: 

Therapeutic Riding serving students with physical, psychological and emotional disabilities

Youth Outdoors partnering with the Cleveland Metroparks, 4H and Cleveland Rec Centers

Gathering Place partnering with cancer patients and their families
