Utica Maennerchor

The Utica Maennerchor was founded in 1865 as Cultural and Singing society.  One of it’s first achievements was being asked to sing for President Lincoln's  Funeral entourage as it passed through Utica.  Since 1865 the club has continued to fullfill it’s mission to promote the German culture through Song and Dance.  At one time,   the many cultural societies were supported by their local communities,  but sadly their numbers have  dwindled.  The Utica Maennerchor has been able to remained a viable organization due to the dedication and hard work of it’s members and the support of the community.
Now the Maennerchor is facing a new and different challenge – Covid-19.  Because the Maennerchor gives back to the community,  there are very few  funds available to survive a prolonged period of time with no income.  We are asking the community to help us  continue with our cultural mission for our children and children's children.
