We have organized and run the Manhattan Amateur Classic for 27 years, and we are proud to say it has always been the flagship competition of the industry. It is has become the “proving ground” for DanceSport couples of all ages and levels, and it has always been an exemplum for other competitions. With your support, we know we can keep the MAC running for years to come.

During the last several years, the MAC has faced rising venue and operational costs, and it now takes over $125,000 each year just to hold the MAC. Our Chapter has continued to fund these additional costs, anticipating entry fees and sponsors would at least keep the MAC in a break-even position. During the past three years, it did not.

The MAC Organizing Team and USA Dance have thoroughly analyzed the current situation and adopted a new pro-active business plan to ensure the ongoing success of the MAC for years to come. We want this legacy competition to thrive and we believe that our athletes and the industry will continue to support us as they have since the very beginning.

But, today, we need your support and are asking USA Dance members, athletes, supporting parents and other sponsors to make a donation to our GoFundMe campaign. Our goal is to raise an additional $10,000 in 10 days so that we can reserve the host hotel for the 2018 event.

·  Our average donation has been $50 - $100, but big or small, every donation counts

·  Donations are tax deductible

·  If we cannot raise enough money, all donations will be refunded 100%
