We are going to have our biggest summer intensive program yet! With our rapid growth each year, we are planning for more participants and more classes. With your donations, we can pay the instructors and provide lunch for our participants. This year we are having traditional beadwork, traditional quillwork, sculpting, painting, drawing, break dancing, self-defense, and yoga classes! We can't wait to be able to provide more for the community that has LOVED our classes! This money will also help our yearly programming for this spring.

Hello, we are fundraising for Upijata Arts Company to continue our classes through the winter and spring! We need help with overhead costs, paying our staff, paying instructors, providing food, and providing art supplies for our participants!

Upijata Arts is raising money to host an art camp on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and surrounding areas. We are excited to positively impact the youth of Pine Ridge through arts with your help! This year we will be hosting dance, yoga, traditional arts (beadwork), self-defense, knitting and various art classes. We are raising money to help cover the cost of supplies, transportation, and paying our instructors to make this a successful camp of arts. We are raising money for a cash match grant. This means, to apply for a grant of $5,000, we need $5,000. We are applying for a grant to help fund our summer intensive program and our regular fall and spring programming. If you want to help provide access to the arts, please consider donating. There is a national state of emergency on the Reservation and surrounding areas due to the climbing suicide rates. If you care about suicide prevention, we believe access to the arts and a form of self expression can give someone hope to live.
