Help the Families & Community of Universal Academy
Hello Everyone, my name is Jehnah Benalshaikh and I am the current Dean of Students of Universal Academy. I am currently raising money for the families and community that Universal Academy is a part of due to them being directly affected by the recent events in Minneapolis.
Universal Academy, along with many other businesses and homes along Lake Street and in South Minneapolis that sustained extensive damage during the riots that occurred after the peaceful protests. At this time we need your support to help repair and heal our community.
This GoFundMe was made due to the recent events in Minneapolis that has affected the Universal Academy Charter School directly as well as in the community where the families of the students' live. As a school community we are incredibly saddened by the tragic death of George Floyd, and pray for justice for him, his family, and the community.
All donations to Universal Academy will be given to the students and their families via Care Packages which will include;
- School Materials
- Food
- Household Items
- As well as any other personal needs of families.
Universal Academy is home to students from Pre-K to 8th Grade from all over the Twin Cities Area. The Universal Academy mission is to achieve "Success for All," and we look forward to continuing that in our South Minneapolis community.
