United Way of Greater St. Louis

On May 16th, an EF3 tornado ripped through the heart of our city without much warning. It leveled homes and businesses, uprooted majestic trees in Forest Park, and sadly, took the lives of 5 St. Louisans. Receiving the funding from FEMA needed to restore these neighborhoods is becoming less and less likely by the day. In short: our fellow citizens need our help.

Inspired by the monumental mobilization of the St Louis community in the wake of this deadly storm, STL Film Club is setting up a fundraising campaign for the United Way of Greater St Louis Tornado Relief Fund.

How you can help power our mission:

Donate: Every penny goes to the United Way of Greater St. Louis through their linked GoFundMe account. Just a few dollars can buy a pair of work gloves, that will help protect one of the thousands of volunteers out clearing debris.

Share: PLEASE share our campaign with your friends, family, and on social media. Sharing this campaign is nearly as effective as donating.

Volunteer: On May 21st at 5:30pm, a group of us will be attending the volunteer sign up at City Foundry STL. Come on out if you would like to volunteer.

Bonus: every person who donates $20 dollars or more, will be given free entry into our July 5th Outdoor Movie Night event!

One of our core values as MGX is Care. After the recent storms and tornado that ripped through our city, we have an incredible opportunity to display Care for our neighbors and community. We are asking for employee donations to be made through GoFundMe. All donations will be aggregated and donated to the United Way of Greater St. Louis's Tornado Relief Fund, which will support relief and recovery efforts throughout the metropolitan area. The fund, in turn, will deploy 100% of money raised to this crisis in partnership with Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) and Long Term Recovery Committees (LTRC). Additionally, MGX is willing to match employee donations dollar-for-dollar up to $3,000. Let's band together to care for our city!
