United Way Harvey Relief Fund
United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County has launched the United Way Harvey Relief Fund to help support our community in the aftermath of Harvey. We know how difficult things are and will continue to be, and we are here to serve our community.
United Way's first priority will be safety, shelter and basic needs, like food. Once the community is stabilized, United Way will focus on long-term recovery efforts.
United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County has requested a disaster reserve fund, which will be tapped for this storm, however because of the widespread devastation already seen, the needs of those impacted will far exceed existing resources.
All donations received will go directly to disaster relief.
Year-round, United Way invests in local partner agencies that have and will continue to support our community.
Harvey is an example of why we need to donate to the United Way, now more than ever. United Way is set up to get money out into the community quickly –and to get it to people in need – because we work with the many agencies that work with people in need every day.
The United Way works with the partner agencies to ensure they have responsible, well-structured programs. We meet with them regularly to ensure the effectiveness of their programs. This means donation dollars are going to the right places and doing the right things.
We would like to thank all of the first responders and volunteers that continue to give aid during this tragedy and we know that our community will rebuild from this.
