I am raising funds because recent federal changes will make it harder for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities to afford college. The 2025 law reduces Pell Grants and caps Parent PLUS loans starting July 2026, and that means many hardworking students who depend on this aid will face new and daunting financial barriers. I cannot stand by while bright young scholars are forced to choose between paying bills and earning a degree. I believe in the mission of the United Negro College Fund. UNCF helps students get to and through college, builds a strong pipeline of underrepresented scholars, and supports HBCUs that have long been engines of opportunity and community. When Pell Grants fall, the consequences ripple across classrooms, dorms, and families. With UNCF, my support goes directly to programs and scholarships that keep students enrolled, on track, and headed to graduation. This is personal to me because I know that access to education changes lives, creates careers, and strengthens communities. Every donation helps buffer the impact of federal cuts by funding scholarships, emergency aid, and support services that prevent students from dropping out. Together we can protect their futures and ensure that talented students are not sidelined by policy changes they did not create. Please join me in supporting UNCF so that HBCU students can keep pursuing their dreams despite these new financial barriers. Your gift will help students stay in school, finish their degrees, and build a brighter future for themselves and our communities.
