On November 10, 2018, our surgical team will be traveling to Guatemala for a week. We are scheduled to perform 80 operations including 18 children. The people who will benefit from our mission are indigent patients from Guatemala who would not otherwise have any access to surgical care. Worldwide, many hundreds of thousands of people die from simple conditions such as hernias, gallstones and appendicitis. Conditions that in the US are curable practical 100% of the time. These are the patients that will benefit from your generosity and even though they will never know who you are, they will be eternally grateful. The wheelchair above shows you the level of services available without us.
Just a story: The young lady below was 14 years old when she started to notice a mass on her elbow. In 2 years it had grown substantially and her parents contacted our relief organization partner in Guatemala.

They sent her in the care of her 17 year old brother on an 8 hour journey to have surgery by our team. They did not know any of us, did not know our credentials or training, but it was their only option. Care for this young lady in Guatemala would have been non-existent. She had an uneventful operation and I am happy to report that 2 years later she is well, functional and without any limitations. That's how your contribution can change somebody's life.

We are a small, non-profit organization that focuses on providing surgical services in Central and South America. This will be our third mission trip this year and we have 4 planned for next year. We entirely rely on donations and fund raising activities for our missions. The cost of airfare, lodging and meals are covered by the participants of the mission, so the monies that are raised are used entirely to fund the cost of providing surgical services for these patients.
Your donation will make a world of difference to these indigent people who don't have access to basic medical care, let alone sophisticated surgical therapy. I wish you could see how grateful and appreciative they are of our efforts. Our surgical group as well will be grateful for your donation as it allows us to extend our healing hands across borders to help our brothers in need.
