Hi everyone!!
My name is Pedro Carmo & it's my birthday, my 28th to be specific!! This year I wanted to celebrate differently with my friends & family. I'm hoping to raise over $2,800 to match my 28th birthday for a program called the Last Mile.
In their words: "The Last Mile prepares incarcerated individuals for successful reentry through business and technology training." This is a daunting task, the US alone makes up 25% of the world’s incarcerated population, but only 5% of the total world population. This program is based out of San Francisco but has 20+ classrooms across 6 states, serving over 600+ students who are returning to society, looking for an opportunity to kickstart their new career in Tech.
As many of you know, I work in tech & consider myself privileged for the job security I have & the skills I've acquired over the years. It'd be the world to me if you could chip in & help me raise money to give these folks the career opportunity I was once given!!
