Help provide Pesach food for families in need!
With Pesach around the corner and the whole world turned upside-down as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, our Jewish brothers and sisters are hurting and need our help now more than ever! Tomchei Shabbos of Queens is a non-profit organization that has been providing food packages for people in need for years and is continuing to work hard to provide food packages for needy families & individuals throughout Queens and parts of Long Island. The scope of recipients varies widely. She might be a woman with children whose husband has left...or an elderly couple on a very limited pension...a family whose breadwinner has suddenly lost his or her job...families where illness saps the resources...and other cases of despair. The common denominator is need. With people hurting financially and resources being limited as a result of COVID-19, the sense of urgency is rapidly increasing. Please reach into your hearts and donate so we can help everyone enjoy Pesach with dignity. May this Mitzvah of Tzedakah be for the Refuah Shelemah - speedy recovery- for Zecharia Mordechai ben Rena Chaya, the 2-year old son of Rabbi Schrier who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Rabbi Schrier and his family are extremely important to the North Shore Hebrew Academy community, and it is important that we all contribute to bringing a Refuah Shelemah to his son Zecharia. This is a huge Mitzvah and every donation, regardless of the amount, makes a difference. Please have in mind זכריה מרדכי בן רנה חיה as you make your donation. Thank you in advance for your support, and may you and your family have a healthy and happy Pesach!
