Greensboro Crew needs your help!

Last night all of the outboard motors were stolen from our  safety motor boats at Lake Brandt. This is the second time in the past year that this has happened to our rowing club. Our youth rowers cannot row on Lake Brandt until we replace these motors. Our rowers are age 11 to 18 and are students drawn from middle and high schools all over the Triad. Motor boats are used by the coaches to do their job and keep us safe. New motors will cost almost $7,000 and we are hoping to raise $3,000 to acquire used motors. 

Note, we have raised the campaign to $4200 after further pricing out motors and heavy duty locks.

High Point youth rowers Maddie Mullins and Junior Ognovich have qualified for the USRowing Youth National Championships to be held in Sarasota, Florida the second week of June.

Maddie and Junior qualified for Nationals by winning the USRowing Southeast Regional Championships against crews from the Carolinas, Florida, Teneessee, Georgia, and Alabama. In April they won the state championships. They are the first High Point rowing crew to ever qualify for Nationals and this represents the culmination of many years of hard work by Maddie and Junior.

We are looking for some sponsors and donors to help cover the significant last minute costs of sending a crew to nationals. These costs include transporting the boat, race entry fees, coaches expenses and travel.

The Youth National Championships take place June 9-11 so we need your financial support now (which is fully tax deductible). Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.
