Honoring Adelaide Amelia Western
We will never understand why what happened happened and we know we will never fully recover from this. But she is a part of our story now. She is our third child, our perfect little girl.
And we look forward to remembering her and holding her in our hearts forever.
Our family, friends and community have sent us an overwhelming amount of love and support over these last few days. We are so grateful for the flowers, gifts, and meals that have been delivered. We feel incredibly loved and supported by every one of you.
What we are asking is that moving forward, if you feel compelled to do something to help us honor the memory of our sweet daughter, that you would choose to give a donation to Trees Atlanta or to make a private donation Peachtree Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers, gifts or meals.
One of the more painful aspects of this is that Adelaide never had the opportunity to live out her potential and make the greater positive impact that we know she would have had on her community and the world she was going to grow up in. In a very small way, this will help her legacy live on.
Our goal is to fund a custom tree planting this summer here in her hometown of Atlanta through a well-respected local organization called Trees Atlanta and to support the charity and outreach of Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
