It's Party Time!

We Just Hit A Huge Milestone

for Advancing Black Breast Cancer Science!

Our WhenWeTrial.org Movement has now resulted in getting 25,241 Black women into our clinical trial portal. When we started WhenWeTrial.org, we had no idea how far we could go. Two years ago, the White House Moonshot team asked us for a goal. We then set an objective to reach 25,000 Black women in the portal by the end of 2025. It's only April and We Already Beat It!

TOUCH is turning 5!

The time has come for us to celebrate our 5 years of life. We can’t believe it’s already been five years and we want to celebrate all that we’ve done with all of those that we love.

In addition to WhenWeTrial.org, we have also reached over 15 million young Black women with our Loveofmygurls.orgBlack breast health messaging. We now have 4 websites delivering informative and culturally sensitive content. All 4 including touchbbca.org and BlackTNBCSanctuary.org are curated for Black Blessties by Black Blessties. We have done 260 episodes of The Doctor Is In and 27 episodes of Pink Table Talk. This invaluable content lives on our YouTube Channel @touchbba. We have been where Black women Live, Work, Play, Pray and Slay at over 400 events across the US and abroad. We have coached 97 HBCU interns. We are advancing science globally with the SAMBAI Cancer Grand Challenge team.

We are GRATEFUL to all who have helped us get here but of course we need to do more! We must change the game on how clinical research is conducted. We must make research participation commensurate with the burden of disease.

Corrine Rani Marr is a cherished soul who lit up every room with her zest for life. Corrine's passion for travel was only matched by her love for adventure and fun. She lived each day to the fullest, embracing new experiences and making lasting memories wherever she went. Above all, Corrine cherished the moments spent with her beloved family, for whom she held an unwavering love and devotion.

Corrine connected with TOUCH during the early stages of her breast cancer journey in 2021. Their resources and support were a beacon of hope and an opportunity to unite with women who shared her diagnosis. TOUCH, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance drives the collaborative efforts of patients, survivors, advocates, advocacy organizations, health care professionals, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies to work collectively and with accountability towards the common goal of advancing the science to eradicate Black Breast Cancer.

There is no better way to honor Corrine’s legacy than to donate to TOUCH.

This is my mom, Ricki (and my daughter Leia on her shoulders).

In 2011, she was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. I'll never forget when the doctors told her, with my sister and me in the room, that she needed to get her affairs in order and gave her two years to live. The doctor didn't know my mom, though. They didn't know her fight, her resilience, or her God.

After multiple rounds and modes of treatment, that same doctor told us she was cancer-free.

With a clean bill of health, my mom's fight continued. To help others! She joined the board of the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation; she shared her story and counseled other women with their diagnoses; she started to do research and began to see a trend regarding Black women and often more aggressive and harder-to-treat triple-negative breast cancers.

She went on to found TOUCH, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance. The mission is to support Black people with breast cancer, and also to serve as a catalyst for changing the conversation—and ultimately the care!—for Black women and breast cancer.

As her daughter, I am grateful for her resilience and health.

As a Black woman, I am humbled by her advocacy.

And as a mother to three girls, I am inspired and hopeful.

I'm launching this fundraiser because I believe in her (and my sister who works with her at TOUCH too) and because I know how important this work is. It's life-changing and life-saving. And it must continue on.

I'm kicking this off with a $200 contribution on Giving Tuesday.
