Support TAB Sunday School – Preserving Tibetan Language and Culture
TAB Sunday School, an initiative of the Tibetan Association of Boston, is dedicated to preserving and passing on the rich Tibetan language and culture to the next generation in the Greater Boston area. Every Sunday, over 80 students—ages 5 to 18—gather for four hours of community, learning, and cultural immersion.
Each session begins with a half-hour of greetings, prayers, and national anthems, followed by Tibetan language classes, and concludes with music, song, and dance practice. Our school plays a vital role in helping Tibetan children stay connected to their heritage while growing up in a multicultural environment.
The school is run entirely by parent volunteers who serve on a rotating two-year committee. All our language teachers generously volunteer their time, and we’re proud to have some of the finest cultural instructors in North America. We also participate in various cultural events with other communities to share and celebrate Tibetan traditions.
Our operations rely heavily on student registration fees and "AN ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT". Major expenses include classroom rent, cultural costumes, musical instruments, and school supplies. When funds fall short, the Tibetan Association of Boston steps in to help—but to truly sustain and grow this vital program, we need your support.
Please consider supporting TAB Sunday School. Whether you’re a member of the community or someone who values cultural preservation, your donation—no matter the size—will make a meaningful impact.
Thank you for being a part of this important cause. Your generosity helps us continue nurturing identity, language, and tradition in the hearts of Tibetan youth.
