Hey there!
I am very lucky to be privileged enough to live a pretty good life with money to afford groceries and a roof over my head with some disposable income to boot! Sure, I could find ways to complain, but there’s so much to be grateful for. Unfortunately, in today’s society, not many people can say the same. Whenever I see someone struggling to find food, begging for spare change, or sleeping out in the open exposed to the elements, it honestly breaks my heart. No human should have to live that way regardless of if their situation was in their control or not.
As such, for my birthday this year, I’m raising money for a local homeless support charity, Thrive DC. Lucky for you—I’ve already vetted them and can attest they’re a respectable organization. They work hard to provide crucial support to vulnerable individuals, helping them stabilize their lives and regain their footing. I truly believe in their mission and the profound impact they have on our community.
