The vision of the Whirling Rainbow Foundation’s Global Peace Sanctuary and Sustainable Community is to cultivate a community of spiritual growth that lives our mission of “promoting unity, peace and earth sustainability through culture and the arts.” Perched as the highest house on Lookout Mountain at 1550 ft in Homer, Alaska, the Whirling Rainbow Center and surrounding Global Peace Sanctuary lands provide a place where inner peace can be deeply felt, experienced and cultivated. In addition to hosting our workshops, classes and ceremonies, the center and Sanctuary promote earth sustainable practices, indigenous seed preservation, wild harvesting, regenerative and permaculture organic gardening methods, repurposing and green energy practices. The Sanctuary includes a main house, cabins, ceremonial grounds and is expanding to include a sacred sound temple, spiral medicine wheel peace gardens, Community Gardens and Greenhouse, and a ceremonial Tipi and Temazcal ( sweat lodge).

The vision and mission of the WRF COMMUNITY GARDENS & GREENHOUSE is to establish a place where our local and global community can take classes to learn regenerative organic farming at higher elevations in Alaska, grow organic food and produce, health and wellness products including wild harvesting local medicinal plants, making herbal remedies, flower essences, organic jams, wellness creams as well as distilling essential oils and hydrosols. In Alaska at 1550ft, a greenhouse is not only essential in expanding our short growing season but also in providing a classroom space in all kinds of weather.
The mission of the Decagon Greenhouse and Community Gardens is
Promote Earth Sustainability: The vision of Eat Locally, Act Globally.
Support local WRF Community, staff and volunteers and our community with a place to garden and eat local organic food extending our potential growing season by as much as 4 months (critical at 1500 ft in Alaska).
Expand our Global Living Arts Offerings: Along with our Flower & Gem Essences, Herbal Teas, Organic Creams and Jams we currently make from the WRF lands, we will be able to grow organic herbs needed to distill WRF's own Organic Essential Oils and Hydrosols.
Create Harmony with Mother Earth by grounding our WRF vision in the soil through right living with organic foods and products, we stay in right alignment with the dream of Mother Earth.
Funding the sales of these wellness products continue to support our local and global organization.
