As you know the current environmental scene is out of control! Covid-19, skyrocketing unemployment and the continuation of historical injustices carried out on people of color, Black People!
I had been looking at the scene overall and saying to myself, “I need to do something!” I could have gone into apathy and just let things continue and feel that nothing could be done about it. But I kept looking and thinking and knew education was the key. Then I thought, “Janice, you are an artist, create something!” I took a deeper look at what I could create. As an artist, I created “Admiration of Sashay”acrylic on canvas. She is the modern-day Harriet Tubman. Harriet Tubman (c. March 1822-March 10, 1913) also known as Moses, was a heroine and crusader! She wanted to do something about her and others’ current scene, slavery and injustice!
Born a slave herself, she subsequently escaped and led over 300 of our enslaved people to freedom, from the south to the north. Freedom! She became a conductor on the Underground Railroad. She fought for human rights and dignity. She could not read or write, but we can! If Harriet knew how to read, I’m almost certain she would have read The Way to Happiness booklet and ensured all others read it as well.
By popular demand, I put her on the cover of this booklet. This booklet is distributed by The Way to Happiness Foundation and it contains 21 precepts (a general rule intended to regulate behavior or thought). Some examples are --- #6. Set A Good Example, #8. Do Not Murder, #20. Try to Treat Others as You Would Want Them to Treat You!
GoFundMe! My intention is to have this book printed and distributed en masse into the hands of thousands of people who need to know and who can make a difference in their lives, their families, communities and all others. We are in need of change! Stop the killing! Stop the violence!

With a crime rate of 74 per thousand residents, Wilmington. DE has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes (2020 Neighborhood Scout). I am a resident of Wilmington.
You are important! Your survival is important to me! Harriet Tubman set a perfect example by escaping, freeing herself and others and has left great legacies.
This booklet can help you carry out one of her most endearing legacies, the ability to forge alliances between whites and blacks at a time of incomprehensible opposition.
