Help Build The Village Nac Exchange: A Self-Serve Farmstand
The Village Nac is a tiny house community in Nacogdoches, Texas, dedicated to providing housing and support for adults facing chronic mental health challenges or homelessness. With the help of the Texas State University School of Social Work students, we are launching an exciting new initiative—The Village Nac Exchange—an entrepreneurial self-serve farmer’s market designed to empower our residents through creativity and small business opportunities.
Our goal is to raise $8,500 to build the first 8’ x 10’ air-conditioned farmstand, which will serve as the foundation for this innovative program. Funds will also cover interior shelving and packaging supplies.
Why This Matters
This project will provide Village Nac residents with a unique platform to create, sell, and grow—offering handmade baked goods, stained glass artwork, pottery, soaps, candles, and organic produce. More than just a marketplace, The Village Nac Exchange represents transformation—an exchange of hardship for hope, and of struggle for self-sufficiency.
By supporting this fundraiser, you are directly investing in dignity, empowerment, and community healing. Your donation helps residents gain marketable skills, build confidence, and take steps toward independence.
Be a Part of the Change
With your generosity, we can launch Phase I of The Village Nac Exchange by May 4th, creating a space where resilience and entrepreneurship can flourish. Every contribution—big or small—brings us closer to making this vision a reality.
Thank you for believing in the power of community, creativity, and second chances.
