The Treehouse

The Treehouse was founded in 2010 and has been a thriving Waldorf Inspired, in-home school ever since; serving 2-5 year olds. We are now ready for the next phase of our living and growing organization and have secured a new site in Milwaukie OR, where we can now serve infants, toddlers and kindergartners! With the new location, we will expand our indoor classrooms and develop our ½ acre outdoor classroom into a Forest Garden School.  Students and the school community will learn directly from the land we inhabit by caring for and loving it as a part of our vibrant curriculum.


Another major component of our move will be to move our organization into a regenerative one! With our new resources we will be able to start providing financial support to families and increase our staff benefits. 


Our new site will offer a permaculture learning garden, an ever evolving Food Forest and an ongoing list of further engagements in our broader community; moving from educating just littles, to a wide spectrum of ages.  Being mostly outdoors, we are providing the best environment not only for nature-based education that will build up life long learners,  but also resiliency during this time of pandemic.


We are also happy to share our land and outdoor kitchen with other farmers, bee keepers, herbalists, mycologists etc... The potential of the community land stewardship on our new site is never ending just as the learning opportunities are for young and old alike!

We have been dreaming of this opportunity for a handful of years now and have been diligent with our finances in preparation for this big jump, putting all that we can into savings.  Unfortunately, with the astronomical price increase of  building materials over the past several months, we are needing help to fund the cost of our buildout to be certified through the Early Learning Division and obtain our E Occupancy through the county.  


Your donation will play a part in helping to develop the next generation of Earth-loving humans in hopes for a more loving and regenerative future for us all.  We are truly thankful for your support.

To honor your donation a leaf with your name and year will be placed on an artistic tree that will mark the entrance to our new outdoor classroom. Just like all trees are made up of different sized leaves, each donation amount supports the overall health of our living organization.
