The Third Place

Our daughter Logan was diagnosed with severe Autism at just 3 years old. From that moment, our lives changed forever… While filled with love, learning, and growth, a mountain of challenges arose, coupled with an endless search for understanding and the difficulties of finding a place where she truly belongs.

For years since, we looked everywhere for a place where Logan could just be authentically herself. Where she could play freely, learn joyfully, explore independently, empower autonomy, and be accepted for the amazing neurodivergent child she is without fear of judgment or rejection. But every program, school, and center we tried fell short. We felt lost, heartbroken, and tired of feeling like Logan simply didn’t fit in anywhere when we knew she did, those places just didn’t get us and repeatedly tried to force a square peg through a round hole.

And then… we found The Third Place

From the moment we walked in, we knew it was different. The owners, parents of neurodivergent children themselves, created this blessing of a facility with their own life savings so kids like Logan could have a safe, joyful, truly inclusive space.

Here, Logan isn’t just “accommodated”, she’s celebrated. She’s understood. She’s thriving. For the first time, we finally found our people, our “village”, a community that sees our children not as challenges to be fixed, but as beautiful souls to be embraced and welcomed with open arms.

But now, this incredible new facility is facing a heartbreaking challenge… They don’t have a proper sign on their building, and the city is about to start charging up to $499 a day until their banner is taken down for a permanent sign. Without the banner, they will have no visibility, and it will have a direct impact on their ability to bring new people in. The cost of the sign is $10,000, and as a small new organization still finding its financial footing, they simply can’t afford it yet.

Without this sign, they risk being fined out of existence before they ever get the chance to truly grow and fewer families will discover this phenomenal, welcoming place.

The Third Place has been life-changing for our Logan and so many other families who’ve finally found hope after years of searching. It’s more than another indoor playground, it’s a lifeline. A place where our kids can feel safe and understood, and where parents can exhale knowing they’re surrounded by people who truly get it, get us.

It must survive. It deserves to be seen.

We’re asking for help to raise $10,000 to get The Third Place the sign it deserves — a sign that says to every neurodivergent child and parent who drives by: “You belong here”.

Adaptive Rock Wall Mural

The Third Place for Kids exists because of community generosity. As a nonprofit, our growth and development are made possible through donations from families and supporters who believe in creating a safe, welcoming space for children to thrive.

We’re excited to share that funds have already been raised for a new adaptive rock wall, set to be installed in Spring 2026! This addition will bring movement, confidence-building, and joyful challenge to our space. Now, we’re inviting our community to help us take it one step further.

Our goal is to transform the rock wall into a fully immersive part of the Third Place experience by adding a thoughtfully designed mural to the climbing wall and the surrounding backdrop. This mural will continue the calm, nurturing atmosphere that defines our space—blending creativity, regulation, and inspiration into every climb.

With your support, this won’t just be a rock wall—it will be an experience. A place where courage is built, imaginations grow, and every child feels grounded, supported, and inspired.
